About her
I am a warm, strong, yet vulnerable, really young 70 year old. I have a good life with friends and grown up children and two grandchildren (none of whom live with me). I am fortunate to have good health though notice the creaky joints increasingly.
I have my own home in Ashbourne and am happy here with my life. I usually enjoy singing in the local choir (COVID permitting), painting (learning abstract) and gardening . Most of all though I enjoy the outdoors having walked, climbed, skied, sailed, and adventured all of my life. I have a border collies (well trained), we walk every day with at least one full day out per week. I compete a little with her also. I work part time with hours to suit myself (lecturing and private practice). I am now a widow and although I enjoy my own company, I want to find good companionship and closeness again. My friends (who would say, are honest and impartial) describe me as good value !!!! whether this is just chatting over coffee or sharing the deeper things in life. I believe that togetherness can be amazing and long for this again, whether this is in sharing a sunset, laughing (or commiserating) about the day, travelling to new places, returning to loved places, and creating adventures. Most of all I am a positive person with love to share.

However I try to write this I struggle to summarise the essence of what I hope for, but here goes, most of all to be able to share yourself with me and to want me to share myself with you. To be able to laugh and cry together, to share hopes and aspirations, joys and sorrows, To be fit enough to come on walks with me, To be open to new things, to value honesty, to be compassionate, to have strength inwardly, a capacity for empathy, to be open, willing to expand and learn more from life, to be non- judgemental, reliable, emotionally intelligent, mature, and safe. I ask for nothing that I am not also willing to offer. A bonus would to be able to dance or learn to dance ( ballroom, Latin, folk) to travel with caravan or motor home, to make everyday count and when the final end is there to be able to say , without regrets.
