About her
I retired recently and life has never felt so exciting. I’m proud of the career that I’m now leaving and enthusiastic about what life now has to offer me.
I have a joie de vivre, a sense of adventure, an interest in the world around me. I prefer walking boots to high-heels and classical concerts to high street shopping. My idea of a great holiday would be immersing myself in the local culture of a different country rather than relaxing in a five-star hotel with a glossy magazine. I prefer the V&A and National Trust properties to spas. I have been a successful businesswoman, am confident and independent. I consider myself to be pretty open-minded, open-hearted, empathetic and tolerant (although I still don’t get designer stubble!). I aspire to live an eco-friendly life, care about diversity, equity and inclusion.
I’ve recently qualified as a personal development coach and plan to do a bit of volunteer coaching.
I’m an enthusiastic AmDramer. I’ve never had more fun than when playing Helga in ‘Allo ‘Allo and loved the challenge of learning to tap dance for Stepping Out. I enjoy listening to music – I was brought up on classical, which I still love, but my repertoire is pretty eclectic. I love live concerts – it’s my chance to get lost in the music without distraction. I also take great pleasure in my garden and can’t wait to have more time to paint (not the DIY variety!). I’d like to cycle more and maybe sail if someone will let me crew. My family is important to me, but fortunately, self-sufficient, and independent.

What do I want in a partner? I’m hoping to find someone who is like-minded and not afraid to “give it a go”, taking a chance on what life has to offer and who has a philosophy of “never say never”. Someone who is confident and comfortable in their own skin. I’d like to find a man with an enquiring mind and a sense of fun, who is not a stuffed-shirt and who has some endearing qualities. I think it is important for a couple to share interests so a love of art, music and a passion for the world we live in would be an advantage. Someone who is thoughtful, respectful, affectionate, kind, and compassionate to all living beings are also traits that are important to me. Oh yes, and financially sound.
